shirts that pay for something other than a yacht
here’s the deal. you pick the price. there’s a minimum, and that minimum covers exactly three things: Printful printing and shipping, the card processor’s cut, and $2 for Andrew so the lights stay on. right now that works out to $20 for XS through XL, $22 for 2XL, $24 for 3XL, $26 for 4XL and $28 for 5XL. the box starts at $29 because that’s what we suggest, but pay whatever you want above your size’s minimum.
everything above that goes to the partner org for that shirt. not “a portion.” not “up to.” everything.
no foundation gala. no CEO doing a TED talk about it. just shirts and receipts.
who gets the money
| partner | shirts that feed it |
|---|---|
| Girls Who Code | women in tech tees (#51-60). free coding education for girls, not another panel photo. |
| Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) | autism / neurodivergent tees (#61-68). run by autistic people. yes we picked them on purpose. |
| GiveDirectly | the “cash > charity theater” tee (#69). cash straight to people in extreme poverty. no middleman cosplay. |
| National Association of the Deaf (NAD) | deaf awareness tees (#70-75). because your webinar still has no captions. |
| National Federation of the Blind (NFB) | blind awareness tees (#76-81). label your buttons. please. |
the regular hacker tees (#1-50) are just merch. they keep the site running. we’re not going to pretend otherwise.
the transparency board
every billionaire “pledge” comes with a press release and no math. here’s ours. it’s math.
| partner | sold | donated |
|---|---|---|
| Girls Who Code | 0 | $0.00 |
| ASAN | 0 | $0.00 |
| GiveDirectly | 0 | $0.00 |
| NAD | 0 | $0.00 |
| NFB | 0 | $0.00 |
updated as orders clear. zeros because we just launched, not because we’re hiding anything. donation receipts get posted here when they exist.
ok one small plug
if you made it this far you probably care about doing things right. so do we, it’s kind of the whole job.
running a clinic, MSP, or anything with patient data? Dark Edge Consulting does HIPAA and security work that ends in actual fixes, not a 90 page PDF nobody reads.
talk to Dark Edge →need a security lead but not a full time salary? Andrew does fractional work. same voice as this site, slightly fewer swear words in the report.
see the fractional stuff →or just buy a shirt. that’s cool too. slothey isn’t keeping score. (slothey is keeping score.)
